Drivers?
Wedges?
Iron sets?
Fairway woods/hybrids?
I have 5 putters
2 drivers
8 wedges
2 Iron sets
2 hybrids 2 fairway woods.
I have heard people talking about using the same putter for like 50 years, the same set for 20 years…I just wanted to see if this is common. I don’t think so. I know people who own like 15 drivers. Any funny stories?
Personally I think new clubs can help you play better. It may just be psychosomatic… but hay whatever works.
Peace!

I own 2 putters – 2 drivers – one iron set and one bag. I have the very first putter I ever bought, but I replaced it about a year ago with an Odyssey putter, which I use all the time now. One of my drivers came with my set and the other is a Callaway Big Bertha.

I have:
1 iron set (including wedges)
3 drivers
2 putters (the only two I have ever owned)
a 4-wood I don't use anymore
a 3-iron form a previous set I replaced w/ a hybrid.
I have owned maybe four full iron sets over 25+ years of playing golf, but usually gave the old sets away when I got new ones. But I have been in garages that look like a bag room at your club.
Not kidding here: One guy I know is a very good amateur player, and pretty loaded to boot, so he would buy new sets every year or two. Then he would win "scrip(t?)" at amateur tourneys in place of cash and usually buy a good set of sticks or a driver or something that he would plan to sell. He had no less than 75 drivers and 40 full sets of irons, most of them still in the plastic. Quite a supply.

I collect Scotty Camerons, so I have more than the "average" golfer. Right now I have about 100, but I am always looking for more. I also collect the different headcovers that Scotty produces every year, so that adds to the collection.

I own 3 putters, I win them at tournaments although I only use the Oddessy. Drivers I change out every couple of years as with wedges because the spring in the face of the driver gets dull and the grooves on the face of the wedges wear out.

I own two sets of clubs currently and a total of three. I have two putters, but only use one, an Odessey two-ball putter. Why change if it works? I have retired my driver and use a three-wood (more distance and control then with my driver). Also in my bag:
5-wood
2-10 irons (Callaway big berthas)
pw
50, 56-degree wedges
